The fuel injectors on the 7.3L Power Stroke are unique in that they have two fluids that are required for operation (High pressure oil coupled with diesel fuel). High pressure oil fires the Power Strokes fuel injectors at very high pressures to achieve combustion. Because of this unique and precise system, when oil and fuel quality are neglected, injectors start misbehaving.
