A common problem with all modern diesels is injectors. If you run crappy fuel or starve them of fuel, they can be damaged. 6.0L Powerstrokes add high pressure oil into their injector equation and, if not changed regularly, will also cause problems. The bad news about injectors is that they are very expensive parts. Expect to pay anywhere from $200-300 a piece depending on the dealer. Fuel injectors can be had for lower pricing online but, BUYER BEWARE, because you get what you pay for. The good news about injectors is that even though it is a very meticulous job, it can be done in the driveway. Use this series to save you hundreds of dollars by avoiding high dealer labor rates.
